Rabbi on the Move

In this limited edition serigraph Alexander Klevan depicts a Rabbi moving through a snow covered landscape. The artistic style is contemporary and vaguely reminiscent of famous Jewish-Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. Thematically, the snow covered landscape is reminiscent of Eastern Europe. Klevan uses dark colours to allude to the hardships faced by the Jewish people throughout the 1900s in the Eastern Europe. This is contrasted by strokes and hues of pink. These serve as a reminder of the strength and resilience shown by the Jewish people. The serigraph is printed on paper and signed by the artist in the bottom right corner.
