From everyday rituals to annual holidays to ceremonies that mark life’s milestones, the twelve images in this calendar joyfully illustrate the union of the spiritual and the domestic that characterizes Judaism. The daughter of Russian immigrants, Zeldis draws on childhood memories, her experiences living in various Orthodox neighborhoods, and the years she spent in Israel to create her richly detailed Jewish paintings.
Each of the first twelve months of this sixteen-month calendar features a colorful reproduction, accompanied by notes on the traditions portrayed. The last four months are grouped on one page, also accompanied by a painting and commentary. The calendar includes Jewish holidays, days of the Jewish year, weekly Torah readings, and a list of candle-lighting times for selected cities.

Products are packed with coolant during their journey to ensure they arrive in great shape. Meats will arrive frozen or refrigerated. Most of our products are shipped frozen; occasionally, due to a very quick turnaround between when the meats arrive at our freezing and distribution facility and when they are delivered to you, meats may be shipped fresh. Meat that is cold to the touch can be refrigerated for immediate use, or frozen for later use.
